Best places to eat in Guam

Guam may be a small island, but it’s big on flavors! From American classics to exotic delicacies, guests are sure to find restaurants to appease their palettes and their wallets!

Fine Dining: Al Dente Ristorante

This modern Italian restaurant located within the Hyatt Regency Hotel is the perfect blend of old world Italian and the most contemporary food trends. The chef is authentically Italian but trained in Japan, so he puts a unique spin on every dish. Pizzas, pastas and fresh seafood dishes are this restaurant’s specialties, and it has an extensive wine menu.

Great Nightlife: Table 35

Trendy doesn’t even begin to cover it. Table 35 offers an incredible variety of wines and spirits, and the staff uses the most advanced techniques to keep beverages fresh for longer, including re-sealing wine bottles with argon gas. This allows them to serve more expensive wines by the glass. The restaurant and bar has excellent food and live entertainment every Friday and Saturday.

Family Dining: Pika’s Café

Pika’s Café has a casual atmosphere that’s great for a family with little ones. There’s always a mix of tourists and locals, so you won’t feel out of place. They serve breakfast, brunch and lunch. The quirky menu has some fun entries, such as Animal Lovers, a vegetarian breakfast wrap, and a lunchtime Shrimp Club sandwich.

Local Flavor: Meskla

Meskla is an upscale dining experience that brings traditional Chamorro flavors with modern flair. This bistro has great service and local flavors, neither of which you’ll soon forget. The chef at Meskla had over 20 years of experience under his belt before opening this totally unique restaurant that serves classics like burgers, steaks, pork chops along with original flavors, such as soy butter escargot and fresh ahi poke salad.

On the Cheap: Sumay Pub & Grill

Pub food is inexpensive and, if you find the right place, delicious! That’s the case at Sumay Pub & Grill, where burgers rule. This restaurant claims the title of ‘Guam’s Best Burger,’ and at less than ten bucks for a basic hamburger, it’s an even better value! Burgers come standard with all the classic toppings, but you can add mushrooms and other toppings to make it your own. Yummy side dishes like onion rings and waffle fries are reasonably priced, too. Other specialties include the crispy fish burger and a fish and chips basket.

Best Brunch: Islander Terrace

Inside Hilton Guam Resort & Spa, you’ll find this nifty Sunday brunch buffet. At $40 per adult and $20 per child, it isn’t your cheapest option, but it’s as dazzling as delicious, making Islander Terrace a great place to splurge on your Guam vacation. There’s plenty to choose from: tempura, a Mongolian grill, seafood on ice, and more desserts than your eyes or stomach will believe! Live music plays while you feast on island specialties and sip mimosas – a real paradise! Regular breakfast buffet is served Monday through Saturday at Islander Terrace, and it’s just as enticing!
